Women and Babies Hospital Project
The WA Government is building a world-class Women and Babies Hospital for Western Australians.
The project – which is expected to create more than 1,400 jobs during construction – will relocate services from King Edward Memorial Hospital to a new hospital built on land within the Fiona Stanley Hospital precinct (external site).
The new Women and Babies Hospital will be a centre of excellence as WA’s only tertiary maternity, neonatology, and gynaecology / oncology hospital in the state.
In addition to the new hospital, Osborne Park Hospital will expand its theatres, obstetrics, gynaecology, oncology and neonatal services.
A new Family Birth Centre will also be built alongside Osborne Park Hospital.
Community and stakeholder consultation will play a pivotal role in this project and there will be many opportunities to have your say.
Visit the WA Government Women and Babies Hospital website (external site) to read more about the project, including frequently asked questions (external site) and opportunities for community engagement (external site).
