Disability Access and Inclusion Plan

The Women and Newborn Health Service (WNHS), which includes King Edward Memorial Hospital (KEMH), has developed a Disability Access and Inclusion Plan (DAIP) along with North Metro Health Service which overarches KEMH and other sites. This is to standardise the strategies in place to ensure that people with disabilities have the same opportunities as other people to:

  • Access our services and events.
  • Receive the same level and quality of service from staff.
  • Access our buildings and other facilities.
  • Make complaints.
  • Receive information in an appropriate format.
  • Participate in any public consultation.

The plan was developed in consultation with people with disabilities, their families and carers, community partners and the general public.
