Changes to patient visiting times

Visiting hours have changed.

At WNHS, we are committed to keeping our staff, patients and visitors safe within KEMH.

In keeping with the Governments’ COVID transition planning, there are some temporary changes to visiting our site. These changes will reduce the flow of people throughout the hospital. Whilst we understand that changes can be frustrating for some patients and their families, we ask that you familiarise yourself with them before you attend to avoid disappointment.

Visitors

  • Visitors can only enter the hospital via the Bagot Road main entrance.
  • Visitors are required to wear a mask at all times.

Labour and Birth Suites and Family Birth Centre

  • Two (2) people are permitted during your birth.
  • Only your essential birth partner is permitted in theatre.

Wards

  • Up to four (4) people can visit a patient per day on the wards (inclusive of a birth partner); however only two people can visit at any one time.
  • Standard visiting hours at KEMH are between 3pm and 7pm only.
  • Only an essential birth partner can stay with a woman between the hours of 8am to 8pm on the postnatal wards.
