Living with a Disability
WNHS is committed to ensuring that people with disabilities, their families and carers have the same opportunities as other people to access the hospital’s facilities, receive the same level of care and information.
Women living with a disability or chronic health condition who need extra support may be referred to our support services provided by our Allied Health Professionals.
Our Allied Health services can help to adapt your home environment, provide advice about assistive equipment and modify your everyday activities and lifestyle during pregnancy and the early months following birth, after surgery or whilst managing a chronic health condition. Our teams can also link you into other community supports available to you and your family.

Our teams are always willing to talk about issues that may be worrying you and affecting your health care experience.
