Parent education

The KEMH Parent Education department offers a range of classes to help prepare and assist women receiving care at KEMH for the birth of their baby, ongoing care and the transition to parenthood. The department is staffed by clinical midwives. Student midwives are allocated to the department as part of their midwifery training.

Charges may apply for services offered by the Parent Education department if the woman registered for care at KEMH is not registered with Medicare.
